Hey peeps!
Just wanted to do a post n one of my favourite blogs, www.iloveshelling.com!
Pam (the blogger) is a shell fanatic who lives in Florida. Frequently post on he shelling trips to Sanibel so its really worth taking a look! :)
Enjoy! :)
Joash! You are so kind! Kind that you mentioned my blog and kind that you helped me out on some shell identification on my trip to Thailand. I got so excited after reading your comment on the i.d.s I haven't even gone back to make sure I know which ones you ided for me. I was just too excited!!! OMG I have been having the hardest time i.d.ing some of my shells since I only have a few books of world shells. I found some cones that I'm having a hard time with the species... you know how many cones there are in the world- it's crazy! Could you help me find a good resource to identify some of these? You? Although I'd hate to take so much of your time. But really, Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam! It's alright! :) Hmm... I have come across a book solely for Southeast Asian cones that is pretty comprehensive. Err...I'm not sure if it is available in Sanibel but heres a link on how this book looks like:

It is really impressive. I managed to get almost all my shell indentifications from there. Here's also a book that I constantly use for shell identification:

Hope that this helps and you would be able to identify the shells soon! :)
